How it works

We look for a _minecraft._tcp SRV record on the address you enter. We then connect to the resulting host and port and send the same status request your game client sends in the multiplayer list. Enter host:port to skip SRV and test a specific port.

Server shows offline?

• Check that port 25565, or your custom port, is forwarded on your router. Test it with the port checker.
• Make sure server-ip= in server.properties is blank or set to the local IP.
• With an SRV record, the target must be a host name with an A record, not an IP address and not a CNAME.
• Status queries can be disabled with enable-status=false. Players can still join, but the server looks offline.
