Why we built it
Most support questions we get are about DNS: a CNAME that hasn’t shown up, a port that isn’t forwarded, a certificate that won’t renew. These are the checks we use ourselves, made free for everyone. You don’t need a uk.app name to use them.
How the tools work
- DNS lookups query public resolvers (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9 and others) and, for propagation, the domain’s own authoritative name servers.
- SSL, port and Minecraft checks connect from our servers in Europe to the host you enter, just as a visitor would. We never connect to private or reserved IP addresses.
- Results are live. Nothing is cached apart from what the DNS resolvers themselves cache.
Privacy
- No accounts, no advertising and no third‑party tracking scripts.
- We don’t save your lookups to a database or build a history of them.
- Our web server keeps standard access logs, including the page address and your IP address, for a short time for security and troubleshooting.
- To stop automated abuse, we count requests per IP address in memory for one minute.
Fair use
The tools are free for personal and professional use. Automated or bulk querying is rate‑limited. If you need an API for monitoring, uk.app names include one.
